Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Plentibytes platform, websites, mobile experiences, sensors, and related communication services (together, the "Service"), operated by Plentibytes ("we," "us"). By creating an account, using the Service, or communicating with us by text message or email, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Plentibytes is

Plentibytes is an AI-powered waste management platform. Waste service providers ("Operators") use it to manage containers, sensors, schedules, routes, and customer communication. People and organizations served by an Operator ("Customers") can use it to view their containers, request service, and communicate with their Operator — including through an AI assistant that responds on the Operator's behalf.

2. Accounts

  • Operators create accounts directly. Customers are added to the Service by their Operator, and may optionally sign in using a one-time code sent to the email address or phone number their Operator has on file.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
  • Operators are responsible for the users they invite to their organization and the permissions they grant.

3. Text messaging (SMS) terms

  • Consent. By providing your mobile number to your waste service provider or to Plentibytes — or by sending a text message to a Plentibytes number — you consent to receive text messages related to your waste service. These include service notifications (such as pickup reminders, delays, and schedule changes), sign-in codes, and replies to messages you send, including responses generated by an AI assistant.
  • Message frequency varies based on your service activity and your provider's notifications.
  • Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt out any time by replying STOP to any message. You may receive a single confirmation of your opt-out. Reply START to re-subscribe.
  • Get help by replying HELP to any message, or by contacting hello@plentibytes.com.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Operators using the Service to contact their Customers are responsible for having obtained appropriate consent from those Customers.

4. Email terms

We send transactional email — sign-in codes, account confirmations, service notifications, invitations, and messages from your Operator. You can adjust notification preferences in your profile. Emails that are strictly necessary to operate your account (such as sign-in codes you request or security notices) are sent regardless of preference.

5. The AI assistant

Parts of the Service — including replies to text messages and portal chats — are generated by an artificial-intelligence assistant using the information your Operator maintains (such as schedules, containers, and service notes). The assistant may make mistakes. Time-sensitive or safety-related matters should be confirmed directly with your Operator. AI-generated messages are identified in the Operator's records, and Operators can review every conversation.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to send unlawful, deceptive, or harassing communications, or to violate telemarketing, anti-spam, or privacy laws.
  • Do not attempt to access other organizations' data, probe or disrupt the Service, or reverse-engineer the sensors or software.
  • We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or creates risk for the Service or its users.

7. Sensors and data

Plentibytes sensors report information such as fill level, battery, signal quality, and installed location. Operators own their business data; Customers' service records are maintained by their Operator. We use aggregated, de-identified data to operate and improve the Service.

8. Fees

Operator subscription fees and optional paid features (such as white-label messaging numbers) are agreed with the Operator. Prices exclude carrier charges incurred by message recipients.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for missed, delayed, or failed messages or sensor readings. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts paid to us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
